"I Don't Seem To Be Fine", a 22 minute fundraising mini-documentary filmed in rural Eastern Uganda in early 2020

Social Media Strategy

Prior to filming in Uganda, I was working with Habitat for Humanity Victoria on their annual Gingerbread Showcase event and their social media channels. The social strategies and content increased engagement on their affiliate channels by over 2000% and directly influenced the amount raised at Gingerbread Showcase fundraiser (over $100k!), while also helping to bring in more customers and volunteers to their ReStores.

I have noticed that a lot of businesses have social media channels, and recognize that there is value in going online, but don't really know what to do and how to leverage it. Having worked with social media in a professional capacity since 2013, I decided to focus on creating customized strategies and campaigns for these businesses, teaching their staff how to effectively run and manage their social channels, while also providing the opportunity to have me come back on a contract basis to help create great content, including photography, graphic design, and video assets, that can then be scheduled as part of a larger campaign.
